No. 46

The No. 46 is the same as the No. 56 low angle plane, but the lever cap on this plane has a nickel finish. This plane has an adjustable mouth and a depth adjusting screw. The front knob and the adjusting screw are nickel platted.

The iron is 1-3/8” so the eccentric lever will have its end bent up.

The No. 46 was “temporarily discontinued” on October 1942 with existing inventory filling prior orders. The status of the No. 46 was changed to “discontinued” from production as of February 1944.

Type 1 configuration – 1929 - 1942

  • After the initial release, the name and number are stamped on the cheek.
