Boxes
One of the resources to tell the history of a tool is in the box
Millers Falls Plane Boxes
Millers Falls planes were shipped in a box. Over the years, the look of the boxes changed several times. From the earliest examples through the mid-sixties, the boxes were produced in house and covered with a colored paper wrap. In the later sixties, the boxes were no longer covered with a wrap, but color stamped from a printing press. This latest look did not last long when additional cost saving resulted in shipping their product in a plain cardboard box with a simple label on the end panel.
