Type 1 showing the name and number cast on the bed.

The four types. Type 1 with the name and number cast on the bed. Type 2 with a threaded knob, cheek stamp and only the number embossed on the bed. Type 3 with a screw securing the knob, cheek stamp and no name or number on the bed. Type 4 with the modified iron and iron adjust knob.

Millers Falls No. 07 skew block plane type 3 with the original box.

Type 2 No.07 block plane with a threaded knob and the model number embossed on the bed at the heel.

With the right cheek removed, the No. 07 can be used to clean rabbets. The cheek is removed by loosening the two screws on the side and sliding the cheek pins out of the holes below the screws.

Small difference between the mouth opening of a type 2 and a type 3.

The No. 07 had a unique iron adjustment. A series of grooves were added to the iron with a complementary set of ridges on the iron depth adjusting seat.

The threads on the iron depth adjusting seat are tilted to one side. If you remove the seat, make sure to replace it in the correct orientation.

This type 2 No. 07 shows the "Since 1868" trademark iron stamp and the cheek stamp. After 1948, the trademark will contain the words "Solid Tool Steel". After 1966, the iron will not have a trademark stamp and the micro groves on the back will be replaced with three oval holes to adjust the iron.
